Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Laborer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of concrete work, including pouring, finishing, and forming. This role requires physical stamina, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively on various construction projects. As a Concrete Laborer, you will be instrumental in ensuring high-quality results while adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and pouring of concrete for various structures and surfaces
- Operate concrete mixers and other power tools safely and efficiently
- Perform concrete finishing tasks to achieve smooth surfaces and desired textures
- Install rebar and perform concrete forming as per project specifications
- Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements
- Collaborate with team members on construction site tasks, ensuring timely completion of projects
- Conduct heavy lifting and maneuvering of materials as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols
- Assist with other construction-related tasks such as masonry, carpentry, and restoration as required
Requirements
- Proven experience in concrete work or related construction fields
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate heavy equipment safely
- Familiarity with construction estimating and project planning
- Experience in rebar installation, hardscape, concrete forming, and finishing techniques
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and working long hours on construction sites
- Knowledge of plastering, trim carpentry, roofing, metal stud framing, flooring installation, tile laying, caulking, stucco application, welding, and renovation is a plus
- Strong teamwork skills with a commitment to quality workmanship
