POSITION SUMMARY:
The Concrete Stringline Formsetter is responsible for the layout, installation, and quality control of stringline systems used for concrete placement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure proper site housekeeping and protection measures (e.g., safety caps on stakes, dust control logs, etc.)
- Read and interpret plans and grades to accurately set stringline for concrete operations
- Set, adjust, and maintain stringline for curb machines and other concrete equipment
- Ensure stringline is set to correct elevation, alignment, and tension per project specifications
- Use measuring tools, lasers, levels, and grade rods to verify accuracy
- Double-check all stringline setups against plans to prevent misalignment or elevation errors
- Inspect stringline during pours and make real-time adjustments as needed
- Assist with ADA layout verification for ramps and flatwork elements
- Perform additional tasks as assigned related to concrete layout, site preparation, or other field operations
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with stringline setup
- Knowledge of curb, gutter, and flatwork installation methods
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Regularly works outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Frequently stands, bends, kneels, and lifts heavy materials
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull objects and equipment over 50 lbs
- Requires good manual dexterity and stamina
- Exposure to active construction zones with machinery, trip hazards, and environmental elements
This is a Safety Sensitive position.
Must be willing and able to drive within a 60+ mile radius from DCS's office to and from assigned job site.
