Responsibilities
· Perform job site safety inspections
· Help administer safety trainings to office and field staff
· Confirm completion of the daily THA’s
· Assist project managers with development of site-specific safety plans
· Maintain 30-hour OSHA card
· Participate in periodic safety audit(s)
· Stop work when a safety issue arises that causes imminent danger. Notification to Safety Management Team and Regional Management immediately
· Communicate improvement areas to RW Dake’s safety program to Safety Management on a regular or needed basis; best practices, new technology, changing site conditions, etc.
· Identify hazardous work conditions and develop steps to mitigate them
· Advise and coach field supervision on site specific safety concerns and upcoming work.
· Potentially assist in new hire safety trainings
· Attend job meetings with clients, contractors, and subcontractors for review of safety concerns
· Assure that all RW Dake equipment meets current standards; inspection tags, annual inspections by independent companies, equipment being used is within date range of service date, etc.
· Encouraged to continue further education in the overall safety landscape.
· Develop partnership with project managers and field personnel and become a trusted advisor on all safety related topics
· Follow up on all open issues discovered via inspections until each is closed out
· Investigate near misses and injuries and timely report to Safety Management Team.
· Ensure accident reports are timely and accurately completed
Required Competencies/Skills
· OSHA and/or NFPA course work or certifications
· Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 25 pounds regularly/occasionally. Sedentary work. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and or fingers
· Minimum of an associate degree in a related field preferred
· Construction Union background desired

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
