About the Team
This team is part of the Consumer Marketing Organization (CMO) at Roku. It collaborates with multiple teams within the CMO, as well as partnering cross-functionally with other functions such as Finance and the Creative Studio.
About the Role
As a Marketing Planning & Operations Manager, you will play a key role in driving the continued optimization of the marketing organization. You will be dedicated to running day-to-day processes and continually increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the CMO.
Key activities include leading quarterly planning processes, budget tracking, resource allocation analysis and recommendations, and internal documentation maintenance. This role reports to the Director, Marketing Planning & Operations.
What you'll be doing
- Lead quarterly planning across all marketing verticals: create timelines, run meetings, build and maintain documentation, aggregate materials, and ensure accuracy and consistency across planning workstreams
- Partner with Finance and Marketing teams to maintain and optimize real-time budget tracking systems
- Monitor marketing spend and lead quarterly budget reviews for CMO leadership staff
- Proactively identify opportunities for optimization of resources across CMO
- Build out and maintain CMO’s documentation library (e.g., SOP and RACI development)
- Develop thoughtful agendas and build / aggregate content for large format team meetings and offsites
- Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams (e.g., Finance, Creative, Retail Strategy), promoting collaboration and effective communication
We're excited if you have
- 6+ years of experience working in marketing strategy and/or operations
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex business drivers, produce high-quality analytics, and communicate results effectively
- Proficiency in budget tracking and financial analysis
- Proven marketing strategy/operations experience and a deep understanding of the relationship between level of effort and return on investment
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced, often ambiguous, environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders, build relationships, and collaborate effectively across teams
- Entrepreneurial spirit with an eagerness to identify areas of improvement and provide solutions
- Advanced Airtable, Excel, PowerPoint skills required
