Controller for non-profit foundation engaged in administering funding for medical research. Partners include federal funding mechanisms, pharmaceutical companies and other foundations. Responsibilities include processing bi-weekly payroll (Paychex experience a must), QuickBooks experience for GL, invoice processing, cash receipts, check disbursement. Making deposits at financial institution. Following up on open invoices. Financial reporting of actual vs. budget expenses to researchers. A/R, A/P, purchasing, bank reconciliation, accounting for grants, journal entries, pre-paid list. Experience annual single audit and calculation of federal indirect rate.
Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, Word and Excel. Flexible hours - up to 20 hours per week depending on workload.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Reporting to the Executive Director. No direct reports. No benefits available.
