About the role
We are seeking a Coordinator - Accounting to support our regional business partnering activities by delivering accurate financial reporting, analysis, budgeting support, and commercial insights.Working closely with Finance Business Partners, operational leaders, and the Finance Analytics & Insights Hub, you will provide meaningful financial information that assists decision-making and contributes to business performance.This role offers exposure to manufacturing, commercial operations, financial planning, and business partnering within a global organisation.The role aligns closely with Orica's finance business partnering and reporting activities, supporting budgets, forecasts, cost analysis, and operational decision-making.
What you will be doing
- Work with Finance Business Partners and key stakeholders across Global Support, and the broader Finance organization to provide timely, accurate, and value-added financial insights and support.
- Support monthly close activities and ensure compliance with reporting timelines
- Prepare accurate financial and performance reports for regional stakeholders
- Assist Finance Business Partners with operational and commercial analysis
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes
- Monitor and analyse fixed costs, cost drivers, and business performance trends
- Identify performance variances and assist with corrective action recommendations
- Support compliance with Orica financial standards, policies, and reporting requirements
- Deliver ad hoc reporting and financial analysis as required
- Collaborate with the Finance Analytics Hub and wider Finance team to continuously improve reporting and insights
What you will bring
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline
- At least 2 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or commercial analysis roles
- Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis skills
- Ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights to stakeholders
- Experience working with ERP systems, with SAP experience highly regarded
- Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
