CPS Ongoing Social Wkr

Manitowoc County Human Services Dept. is seeking a Child Protective Services Worker to join their Ongoing Services team. This position provides comprehensive case management services directed at ensuring the safety of the children involved.

This position provides comprehensive case management services to assigned caseload and:

• Interviews family members and other persons associated with the family, conducting investigations, creating safety plans.
• Intervenes when compliance with the plan is not occurring or if new events occur that threaten the safety of the children.
• Assists the family in securing resources necessary to maintain compliance with the safety plan.
• Prepares paperwork necessary for court appearances, including protective placement orders and termination of parental rights.

A Bachelor's degree in social work and certification by the State of Wisconsin as a Social Worker. Certification must be obtained within six months from the date of hire or proven progress being made toward that certification. A Wisconsin Driver's license is also required.

NOTE: Per - Wis. Stat. § 19.36(7) Records that would reveal the identities of job applicants must be kept confidential if the applicants so request in writing. A final candidate is an individual who is one of the five most qualified applicants, or a member of the final pool if that is larger than five.
