We are seeking reliable, detail-oriented Custodial Worker 1s interested in maintaining cleanliness and order throughout Selinsgrove Center. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Custodial Worker 1, you will perform a variety of manual and machine operation tasks under the direction of a supervisor in the custodial care of Selinsgrove Center. Your duties will include maintaining cleanliness of the facility through outlined cleaning techniques, completing daily reports, and completing tasks in a timely manner. Areas to be maintained include bedrooms, bathrooms, entrances and hallways, visiting rooms, and other parts of the facility. You can expect to operate mechanical housekeeping equipment and choose appropriate cleaning tools and supplies for assigned tasks. Additionally, you will request equipment and supplies when needed and move furniture, including heavy furniture, in living areas and offices when required.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, rotating schedule, with a 30-minute lunch. Some weekend work is required.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Legal Requirements:
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
