DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Equipment Operator B, your work involves operating trucks with a gross vehicle weight of 32,001 pounds or more to complete backhoe work, excavating, road repair, snow removal, lawn mowing, equipment maintenance, and manual work when not operating equipment. You will be responsible for performing routine repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment such as lubrication, oil changes, and minor adjustments as well as cleaning and servicing equipment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to assist mechanics in making major repairs to equipment and demonstrate the operation of assigned equipment to other employees. Additional responsibilities include maintaining equipment records and performing the duties of an Equipment Operator A when needed for continuation of services in the department.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, rotating shift including some weekends
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as an Equipment Operator A (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Two years of experience in the operation of heavy construction and specialized maintenance equipment used at this level with a gross vehicle weight of 32,001 pounds or more; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience or training.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license.
Conditions of Employment:
- This position requires possession of a Class B commercial driver's license (CDL) with the air brake endorsement. Passenger endorsement required within 6 months of employment.

- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
