About the role
We are looking to add a Cybersecurity Analyst to our growing Cybersecurity department. In this role, you will collaborate and make decisions in efforts to protect operations, personnel and information systems against online threats and unauthorized use. You will deliver effective and efficient intrusion detection, incident response, security intelligence, threat, and vulnerability assessments. This hybrid position will directly support our cybersecurity operations at our Austin, TX office.
Essential Functions
- Support cybersecurity initiatives and collaborate with internal partners.
- Perform cloud security assessments.
- Support existing infrastructure and initiatives, as well as perform security reviews for new products.
- Assist in vendor onboarding and due diligence processes to ensure new technology vendors adhere to established compliance and cybersecurity baselines.
- Collaborate with IT team to design, build, and maintain secure and compliant applications.
- Improve data collection and analysis for strategic alignment with security monitoring strategy.
- Provide security guidance and assistance to executives and staff.
- Understand and support the Company’s security policies and procedures.
- Respond to and fulfill eDiscovery requests from Legal and Compliance teams.
- Perform forensic analysis on endpoints, cloud environments, and network logs.
- Process access requests, role changes, and terminations in IAM platforms (e.g., Azure AD).
- Conduct periodic access reviews and audits to ensure compliance with least privilege principles.
- Work closely with Legal, HR, IT, and Security Operations teams to support cross-functional initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Technical skills: eDiscovery tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Relativity), IAM systems, digital forensics.
- Familiarity with data governance and frameworks (e.g., SOX, HIPAA, GDPR)
- Ability to travel to the Company’s various locations, depending on the needs of the Company.
- Ability to adapt to a constantly evolving environment and generate effective and innovative solutions to address change.
- Ability to analyze threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ Year of IT Support and Cybersecurity experience preferred.
- Associate level knowledge of security architecture principles, identity management, networking, security protocols, application security, and DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
- Cloud experience with SaaS products, AWS, and Azure.
- Practical experience in building and supporting process automation (e.g., scripting skills).
- Solid understanding in Segregation of Duties (SoD) and least privilege concepts.
- Industry security certifications a plus.
