We are seeking a motivated Data/Computer Science Intern/Technician to join our dynamic technology team. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates who are eager to gain hands-on experience in IT systems, data management, and technical support within a professional services environment. You will work alongside experienced engineers and analysts, supporting the daily operation of our IT infrastructure while learning industry best practices.
This internship/entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to build practical skills in computer science, IT systems, and data infrastructure management.
Responsibilities:
- Data entry and data analysis
- Monitor system performance and help identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with team members on small infrastructure upgrades and technology projects.
- Help deploy and manage software tools, including productivity and collaboration platforms (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, etc.).
- Assist in documenting IT procedures and creating user guides.
- Research and recommend innovative IT or data solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Stay current on emerging technologies in IT, data science, and cybersecurity.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field.
- Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and iOS.
- Knowledge of programming or scripting (Python, Java, PowerShell, or similar)
- Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with others.
- Must be able to commute to or relocate near Jersey City, NJ 07302
Schedule & Pay:
- Job Type: Internship / Entry-level
- Schedule: 8-hour shift, flexible for students
- Pay: Competitive stipend or hourly rate, commensurate with experience. Range $17-$26/hr
