Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Day Porter to join our team. The Day Porter will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for both employees and visitors. This position requires a proactive individual who can effectively manage cleaning tasks and assist with general maintenance duties.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks in commercial and residential settings, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
- Maintain cleanliness in common areas, restrooms, and break rooms to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to enhance the appearance of surfaces.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies throughout the facility.
- Monitor supplies and inventory levels for cleaning products and equipment, reporting needs to management.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations and high standards of cleanliness.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and equipment is advantageous.
- Skills in facilities maintenance or residential painting are a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting, bending, or prolonged standing.
- A positive attitude and commitment to providing exceptional service.
