Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, as well as the ability to handle heavy lifting and operate various types of delivery vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck or other commercial vehicles for delivery purposes.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring all items are secured and handled with care.
- Navigate delivery routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
- Provide outstanding customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking shipments and obtaining signatures when required.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure timely loading of products for delivery.
- Utilize equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks as needed for loading and unloading tasks.
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred, with a strong understanding of route driving.
- Customer service experience is essential to ensure positive interactions with clients.
- Warehouse experience is a plus, particularly in loading and unloading operations.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is beneficial.
- Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks is advantageous for handling heavy loads.
