Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Route Driver to join our team. As a Route Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to various locations using your personal vehicle as well as company vehicles.
Duties
- Drive yours or company vehicles along designated routes to deliver goods
- Load and unload items from the vehicle
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and box trucks as needed
- Perform heavy lifting tasks when loading and unloading goods
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain necessary signatures
- Adhere to all safety regulations and traffic laws
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks
Experience
- Previous experience as a Route Driver or in a similar role is preferred
- Proficiency in driving manual transmission vehicles
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and box trucks
- Strong customer service skills
- Capability to handle physical demands such as heavy lifting and moving of goods
