MUST HAVE DENTAL OFFICE EXPERIENCE
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team in a fast-paced dental clinic environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of medical office protocols, including HIPAA compliance.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk operations of the dental clinic.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring an efficient flow of patients throughout the day.
- Collect patient information and maintain accurate records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Process insurance claims and handle medical billing tasks, including familiarity with ICD-9 coding.
- Utilize Dentrix software for patient management, appointment scheduling, and billing processes.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, appointments, and patient care.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming for patients.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical office or dental clinic setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in medical billing practices and familiarity with ICD-9 coding is a plus.
- Experience using Dentrix or similar dental management software is highly desirable.
- Strong 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry and billing processes.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
