Job Description
David Weekley Homes’ SLC New Home Design Center is seeking an enthusiastic, customer service-oriented Design Coordinator to provide administrative support to Customers and Designers.
The ideal candidate will have a desire to eventually become a Design Consultant with David Weekley Homes and take pride in creating an exceptional customer experience while juggling multiple priorities in support of the Design Center team.
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver enthusiastic, professional customer service for callers and visitors to the New Home Design Center.
- Schedule Appointments with Homebuyers and Designers.
- Maintain design center samples and signage.
- Enter customer information and selections accurately into our computer system.
- Balance various roles such as answering phones, filing, organizing and interacting with internal and external customers.
- Prepare decorator selection package.
- Creating digital design boards for Quick Move-In Homes.
- Keep inventory and various lists updated; order and maintain supplies.
- Assist designers/buyers with selections.
- Prepare Preview Night folders.
- Schedule product knowledge training for design center team and builders and warranty service representatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design.
- A keen sense of style and design and be up on the latest trends.
- Working knowledge of Windows and MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Eagerness and willingness to learn and adapt.
- Clear, effective communication skills.
- Time management and self-discipline to complete tasks on time.
- Sense of pride in providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- A sense of urgency and excellent follow-up.
- Ability to deal with conflict and set expectations.
- High level of integrity.
- A positive, team-player attitude.
- Prior design, sales or customer-facing role for a production homebuilder is a plus.
Additional Information
Work Schedule:
- Monday-Friday, 9 am - 5 pm, with flexibility to work later as needed.
- Required to work until 7 pm two nights per month for Preview Nights
