Summary
As a Direct Care Worker at Friends of New Milford, Inc, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in their daily lives. This position is essential to our mission of providing compassionate care and empowering our clients to make meaningful choices.
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Provide support in social and recreational activities to promote community involvement.
- Observe and report any changes in clients' physical or emotional well-being.
- Foster positive relationships with clients to enhance their quality of life.
- Assist clients in developing daily living skills and independence.
- Collaborate with team members to create personalized care plans.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is a plus.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Complete daily mandatory documentation, both written and on line.
- Hours in our CLA: Tuesday 11p-7a, Wednesday 11p-7a, Thursday 3p-11p, Saturday 3p-11p.
- Hours in our Day Programs: Tuesday 10a-5p, Wednesday 8a-3p, Thursday 8a-3p.
