Meymuni is a Modern Persian Café in West LA, blending authentic flavors with a contemporary café culture. In just six months, we’ve built a loyal community, grown our Instagram following to nearly 20,000, and expanded into catering, seasonal menus, and new product lines.

Position Summary
The Director of Operations will serve as the founder’s right hand — fully responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations, leading both FOH and BOH teams, and ensuring compliance, payroll, scheduling, and culture are all running at the highest standard. This is a builder role for someone who can create systems from scratch, lead with authority and motivation, and keep the café running efficiently as we scale.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage FOH + BOH operations with consistency, efficiency, and high standards.
- Oversee opening and closing routines; ensure all tasks and checklists are completed daily.
- Build and refine operational systems to improve productivity and consistency.
- Take ownership of scheduling, labor cost management, payroll, and compliance.
- Motivate and hold the team accountable while fostering a positive, professional culture.
- Partner with ownership to execute catering, special events, and strategic initiatives.
- Identify and implement operational improvements to prepare for expansion.
Who You Are
- 5+ years in hospitality operations, ideally in fast-casual, café, or premium grocery/café retail.
- Experience in structured, high-standards environments (Erewhon, Sweetgreen, Mendocino Farms, Tender Greens, etc.).
- Proven track record of leading both FOH and BOH teams.
- Comfortable building systems from scratch and ensuring adoption.
- Strong understanding of California labor law compliance.
- Detail-oriented and relentless about follow-through.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills — able to inspire and hold people accountable.
- Proficient in Toast, 7shifts, QuickBooks, MarginEdge, and Notion (or quick to learn).
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $75,000–$85,000 DOE
- Performance Bonuses: $5,000–$10,000 annually (quarterly payouts)
- Full-time, on-site in West Los Angeles

Pay: $73,000.00 - $86,000.00 per year
