Director – Fixed Income Back Office QA
Location: Charlotte, NC
About the Role:
Seeking a Director of Quality Assurance (QA) to lead testing and validation across Fixed Income Back Office systems. This role requires deep expertise in clearing, settlement, regulatory reporting, and risk processes specific to Fixed Income. You’ll define QA strategy, manage a team, and collaborate with technology, operations, and compliance to ensure robust, scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead QA strategy for Fixed Income back office applications (trade capture, clearance, settlement, regulatory reporting).
- Act as SME for Fixed Income lifecycle events (USTs, MBS, Agencies, Corporates, DTCC, FICC, Euroclear).
- Define and implement test plans, automation frameworks, and compliance checks (TRACE, 15c3-3, CSDR).
- Manage and mentor QA teams; ensure best practices in test design and execution.
- Partner with tech teams for early QA involvement in development sprints.
- Collaborate with operations, risk, and compliance to validate end-to-end workflows.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years in Capital Markets QA/Technology, 5+ years in leadership.
- Strong Fixed Income knowledge (clearing, settlement, regulatory compliance).
- Hands-on experience with QA tools (JIRA, QC, Selenium, Postman).
- Familiarity with SWIFT, FIX, XML, and post-trade workflows.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with Broadridge, Murex, Calypso, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of automation tools, CI/CD pipelines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $200,000.00 - $235,000.00 per year
