Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our cooks and food preparation staff, contributing to a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste.
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, including chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients.
- Help with bussing tables and cleaning dining areas to ensure a pleasant experience for guests.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen supervisor.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with culinary terms and practices is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- A willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities as needed in the kitchen setting.
