Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary staff and contributing to the overall success of our food service operations.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area and kitchen by regularly cleaning countertops, floors, and equipment.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including bussing tables and helping cooks during peak service times.
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods, providing support wherever necessary.
- Dispose of waste properly and assist in recycling efforts to promote sustainability in the kitchen.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of basic food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as needed.
