Part-Time Dog Walker/Pet Sitter – Southern Paws Pet Sitting
- Southern Paws Pet Sitting, a highly rated business in Sumner County, is seeking passionate animal enthusiasts to join their team. We are hiring dependable individuals specifically for part-time daily dog walking. We're hiring for the following shifts 7am-12pm & 12-5pm
Position Requirements & Duties:
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a sincere love for both dogs and cats. Since this job requires visiting clients’ homes, a dependable, insured, and pet-friendly vehicle is essential. Responsibilities include walking dogs, caring for cats, and offering outdoor playtime or bathroom breaks. Each visit typically ranges from 15 to 60 minutes. This is a year-round role, and applicants must be comfortable working in all types of weather.

Duties
- Walk dogs of various sizes and breeds, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Monitor the behavior and health of dogs during walks, reporting any concerns to pet owners.
- Provide basic training commands to dogs while walking to reinforce good behavior.
- Maintain a positive relationship with both pets and their owners through effective communication.
- Handle multiple dogs at once, ensuring all pets are secure and well-managed.
- Assist with pet sitting duties as needed, providing care in the owner's absence.
- Ensure proper hydration for dogs during walks, especially in warm weather.
- Maintain accurate records of any relevant notes regarding their behavior or health
Requirements
- Experience in dog handling or training is highly preferred.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being.
