About the Role:
Ashland Childcare Center is seeking a creative and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to lead our Pre-K classroom. This position focuses on preparing children ages 4–5 for their transition to kindergarten through structured learning, play-based experiences, and social development.
You will create a safe, inclusive environment where children develop critical thinking, literacy, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a dynamic, developmentally appropriate curriculum
- Facilitate early academic learning in literacy, math, and science
- Guide social-emotional development and promote positive peer interactions
- Organize classroom routines including meals, rest time, and transitions
- Maintain accurate daily records (attendance, meals, incident reports, etc.)
- Communicate effectively with families about student progress
- Ensure compliance with licensing and safety regulations
- Participate in professional development and team meetings
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; early childhood coursework preferred
- At least 1 year of classroom or childcare experience
- Must pass all background checks and screenings
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication, planning, and interpersonal skills

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
