Successful candidate will be part of a team that provides Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) support to a client manufacturing facility. This position works directly with the Environmental Team’s engineers and the wastewater facility’s operators to assist in sampling processes and other tasks. The candidate must be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and have a strong analytical background.
What you’ll do
- Work with client to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and facility environmental policies
- Prep and process samples and supplies for routine wastewater sampling
- Coordinate and assist in additional environmental sampling processes as needed
- Creating hazardous and non-hazardous waste profiles
- Create, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures
- Create environmental reports to communicate sampling results
- Utilize the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for supply ordering
- Evaluate and interpret environmental regulations to inform sampling and reporting parameters
- Additional responsibilities according to client needs
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related discipline
- Prior EHS or manufacturing setting experience preferred
- Prior customer service experience with great interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and highly productive with the ability to balance multiple projects at once
- Possess the ability to follow good documentation practices and adapt to changing schedules
- Previous environmental experience and knowledge of environmental regulations is a plus
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus
