We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Automation Crew Leader to lead a field team performing electrical and instrumentation work across a range of industrial and oilfield automation projects. This role is hands-on, requiring a leader who can install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical control systems — while also coaching crew members, ensuring safety, and driving productivity. The ideal candidate brings both field expertise and leadership, with a commitment to doing the job right — safely, on time, and up to code.
Key Responsibilities
As an Electrical Automation Crew Leader, you’ll be on the front lines — leading your team, solving problems, and delivering quality results that keep critical infrastructure running. Your responsibilities will include:
- Champion Safety on Every Job – Lead daily safety huddles, enforce HEI safety policies, and proactively identify and correct hazards to ensure every team member goes home safe.
- Lead, Mentor, and Inspire – Supervise and develop crew leaders and apprentices, offering hands-on coaching, performance feedback, and setting the example in work ethic and professionalism.
- Own Project Execution – Oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automation systems — ensuring all work meets specs, codes, and quality standards.
- Manage Resources with Precision – Plan staffing, tools, and materials to match project demands. Coordinate with the Operations Manager to keep crews equipped and productive.
- Keep Communication Flowing – Serve as the go-to contact for your crew — and a reliable communicator with clients, supervisors, and contractors to ensure project alignment.
- Track Progress & Drive Results – Monitor daily and weekly performance, document project milestones, and report progress and challenges to leadership.
- Build Team Capabilities – Promote continuous learning by providing technical training and growth opportunities for your team members.
- Deliver an Exceptional Client Experience – Build trust through consistent communication, professional conduct, and a strong commitment to client satisfaction.
- Solve Problems in Real-Time – Apply your technical knowledge and field experience to troubleshoot issues quickly and implement practical, lasting solutions.
