The Employee Relations & HR Policy Specialist III is responsible for conducting and documenting detailed investigations regarding allegations of misconduct, while upholding our commitment to operating in compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations. This role will further support our business by maintaining HR policies and ensuring that these policies, procedures and reference materials are properly posted on all employee sources.

Responsibilities/Expectations:
  • Conducts investigations of alleged violations of our policies, Core Values and/or Code of Business Conduct
  • Recommends action/next steps based on investigation findings while remaining consistent with past practices
  • Serves as subject matter specialist related to HRBP and leader questions surrounding employee relations, investigation processes, tools, document management, trend tracking and mitigation
  • Explains case findings, relevant facts, policy elements and recommendations to our leaders while working to gain and build consensus
  • Coordinates with business partners to ensure consistent application, interpretation, and enforcement of our policies, Core Values and Code of Business Conduct
  • Advises with team to provide employee relations expertise and counsel to the organization
  • Assesses and maintains case tracking systems to ensure accurate reporting and statistics
  • Maintains HR policies, standards and supporting documentation and ensures proper posting on all employee sources
  • Answers questions surrounding interpretation of HR policies, service awards, educational assistance and labor law postings and maintains documentation regarding the advice provided
  • Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field; a minimum of four (4) years relevant experience
Other Requirements:
  • Demonstrates a breadth of human resources knowledge and practical application
  • Experience in conducting employee investigations
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills with preference for enhanced Excel skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; demonstrates ability to communicate with all levels in the organization
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently
