The EMR Director (Director) is to provide direct and indirect support in the delivery of patient care and the use of the electronic medical record (EMR) system. The Director will lead all aspects of the EMR system, ensuring its optimal functionality, integration and compliance across the organization. The Director will function under the direct supervision of the Chief Advisory Officer.

· Collaborate with end user departments to ensure the EMR is serving their needs
· Work with Senior Leadership to identify both efficiencies and inefficiencies in operating procedures.
· Reports monthly during Five Wide Meetings
· Actively attends and participates in Monthly Senior Leadership meetings
·Fosters an environment that promotes trust and cooperation among all staff of Five Horizons.
· Be a presence (physically and virtually) in all locations to ensure standardization among the entire organization.
· Travel quarterly to Five Horizons sites to provide training and in-person support as needed.

· Supervise EMR personnel
· Hold regular meetings with staff to address issues arising in the department
· Build Department structure and constantly assess that the department is meeting the entire organization’s needs

Act as the primary point of contact for all EMR application issues and requests
- Provides support to EMR end users through troubleshooting, coaching, and consulting to facilitate the implementation, integration, and optimal use of EMR.
- Have a strong understanding of the daily processes in the Clinic, Social Services, Behavioral Health, Prevention and Outreach and Finance departments to ensure the EMR is set up to best support them system wide.
- Identify, access, troubleshoot system-wide EMR related issues as they occur, and see through to full resolution.
- Manage relationships with EMR software vendors and service providers
- Work with CFO to negotiate contracts and oversee vendor performance to ensure service quality and cost effectiveness.
- Review ticketing system to ensure major issues are being addressed in a timely manner.
- Ensure all users are sufficiently trained on all aspects of Athena. Update training as needed and request additional training as needed.
- Work with all departments to ensure all reporting needs are met
- Collaborating with outside partners (research)
- Research any potential enhancements or system upgrades. Communicate with necessary leadership.
· Maintains confidentiality of all patient and employee information to all except the other designated employees.
· Enforces policies and procedures to ensure that the principles of Five Horizons are implemented and standardized across all locations.
· Serve as a member of the HIPAA team
· Provide support for RSR reporting and any other required documentation.
· Provide allowed access and required documentation for grant site visits
· Ensure policies and procedures follow all the requirements of our grant funders.
· Document all EMR policies and procedures. Consistently update and ensure all relevant parties are aware.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience working with EMR applications
- Experience working with Athena EMR applications
- Strong knowledge of EMR application functionality, including clinical workflows and processes
- Experience with EMR application training and end-user support
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot EMR application issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
