Job Description:
Let It Bee Landscaping LLC is a landscaping business that specializes in wildlife gardening through native plant use while promoting the beauty of these plants through strong design and ecological application.
This position is for a seasonal part-time contractor that works outside weeding, mulching and planting native plants and may do some light office work from home such as emailing and inputting data and invoices. Some on-the-job training is provided such as native plant care and requirements, weed and native plant ID, wildlife uses of native plants and landscaping best practices. But some experience with landscaping and office work would help.

Qualifications
- Experience in landscape maintenance and gardening
- Experience with small hand tools
- Native plant versus weed identification
- Native plant care and requirements
- Basic computer skills such as emailing, using Google Docs and Sheets, researching plants online and learning Quickbooks.
The job almost completely outside so it gets hot but there is water and sunscreen always available. We try to follow the shade but it’s not always possible.
The Job Duties are:
- Digging and pulling weeds
- Digging holes for planting with a shovel and pickaxe
- Planting perennials, shrubs and small trees
- Spreading cardboard and mulch
- Hand-trimming and pruning
Job Type: Part Time, Seasonal
Schedule:
- Approximately 4 - 17 hours per week
- Monday through Friday
- 8:30am - 1pm and/or 1pm - 4pm
- From-home office work
Job Pay: $16/ hr normal rate & $18/hr for July and August
Job Location: Baton Rouge: Mid-City and Shenandoah and some work near Brusly and Prairieville
