Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily dispatch schedules for heavy equipment and vehicles
- Monitor equipment location and status using GPS and dispatch software
- Communicate with drivers, maintenance crews, and site supervisors to confirm availability and requirements
- Plan and optimize routes based on site priorities, traffic patterns, and equipment specifications
- Maintain accurate dispatch records including load manifests, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation
- Troubleshoot service disruptions, delays, and equipment issues in real time
- Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and operations teams to forecast equipment needs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of dispatch, logistics, or transportation coordination experience
- Experience coordinating heavy machinery or specialized equipment preferred
- Proficiency with dispatch software systems and GPS tracking tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
