Pelkowski Precast Corp pride ourselves on reliability, precision, and customer satisfaction. We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator/Dispatcher to join our team. This position combines cost estimating responsibilities with the coordination of company trucks and material deliveries to job sites.
Responsibilities
Estimating
- Review blueprints, plans, and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Perform material take-offs and labor calculations.
- Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare proposals, budgets, and cost breakdowns for projects.
- Track job costs and assist with budget updates.
Dispatching (Trucks & Deliveries)
- Schedule and coordinate deliveries of materials, equipment, and company trucks.
- Communicate delivery schedules with drivers, suppliers, and job site supervisors.
- Monitor delivery progress and resolve delays or conflicts.
- Maintain delivery logs, truck usage records, and material drop-off documentation.
- Ensure compliance with DOT and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a construction estimator or dispatcher required.
- Knowledge of concrete materials and delivery logistics.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; estimating software experience a plus (Bluebeam.
- Experience with Quickbooks preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with crews, suppliers, and clients.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 47.5 – 60 per week
