Button Rock Bakery is seeking a dynamic and organized Sales & Communications Manager to lead and streamline all aspects of customer communication, sales inquiries, and vendor relationships. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves customer interaction, and has a strong eye for detail and follow-through.
Key Responsibilities
Communication & Customer Service
- Serve as the main point of contact for incoming phone calls, voicemails, emails, and social media messages (Instagram & Facebook).
- Manage and respond to all email inquiries
- Respond to all online reviews (per company guidelines)
- Square messages and customer comments
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate responses and resolutions.
Sales & Order Management
- Oversee all website-based inquiries including specialty cakes, catering, and weddings.
- Provide accurate quotes and follow-up with a strong closing rate on all leads.
- Maintain organized records of confirmed orders
- Ensure all specialty cake orders, dessert bar orders, and catering events are accurately documented.
Wholesale & Recurring Orders
- Post and organize wholesale and recurring orders for the production team weekly.
- Serve as liaison for clients and internal production staff for any adjustments or questions.
Weddings & Events
- Maintain strong relationships with wedding vendors and ensure contract requirements are met.
- Schedule and confirm wedding consultations and tastings with both clients and cake staff.
- Manage invoicing and payment processing for wedding orders, ensuring deposits and final payments are received on schedule.
Prospecting & Community Engagement
- Identify new sales opportunities within the community and among wedding/catering vendors.
- Represent Button Rock Bakery in local events and initiatives that increase brand visibility.
Scheduling
- Maintain and publish the monthly delivery calendar
- Keep schedules updated and communicate changes to the Cake Manager and relevant departments.
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in customer service, sales, or event coordination preferred
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while coordinating across multiple teams
- Familiarity with Square, Gmail, Instagram, and Google Business a plus
