Event Staff Member

Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Event Staff to join our team. The ideal candidates will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of various events, providing exceptional guest services, and creating memorable experiences for attendees. This position requires a proactive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup and breakdown of event spaces, including arranging furniture and equipment as needed.
• Provide outstanding guest services by welcoming attendees, answering questions, and addressing any concerns during events.
• Collaborate with event coordinators to ensure all aspects of the event run smoothly and according to plan.
• Monitor event activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Facilitate food service operations, including serving food and beverages while maintaining cleanliness and organization.
• Engage with guests, especially children, to enhance their experience through interactive activities or entertainment.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly when required during events.
• Support public speaking engagements or presentations as needed, ensuring clear communication with the audience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in events management or guest services is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and ability to engage with diverse audiences.
• Experience working with children is a plus; familiarity with educational or recreational programs is beneficial.
• Background in food service or hospitality is advantageous for roles involving catering or food handling.
• Knowledge of resort operations or theater production can be beneficial for specific event types.
• Public speaking skills are desirable for roles that require addressing large groups or facilitating discussions.
• Ability to manage cash handling processes accurately during events involving sales or ticketing.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $9.00 - $13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 15 per week
