Job Overview
Summit Christian School is seeking a dependable and experienced Bookkeeper/Office Assistant to support financial and administrative operations in a Christ-centered school environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in non-profit bookkeeping and office support, ideally in a school setting, and be familiar with QuickBooks and FACTS.
Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping Duties:
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly
- Track tuition payments, scholarships, and donations
- Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks
- Support audit preparation and budget planning
- Collaborate with external accountant as needed
Administrative Support:
- Provide general office and clerical support
- Assist with enrollment records, human resource records, billing, and financial aid processing
- Communicate professionally with families and staff
- Support school leadership with data entry and reporting tasks
Qualifications:
Required:
- 3+ years bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- High level of discretion with confidential information
- Excellent communication and time management abilities
- Agreement with the school’s Christian mission and values
Preferred:
- Experience working in a private school or nonprofit setting
- Familiarity with FACTS Tuition Management and Student Information System (strongly preferred)
- Knowledge of donor tracking and restricted funds
- Degree in accounting, finance, or related field (a plus)

Pay: $19.89 - $25.00 per hour
