EXPERIENCED CRAFTSPERSON OR PRODUCTION WORKER
About Escapod
Escapod Trailers is one of the fastest-growing off-road camper manufacturers in the country. Based in Coalville, UT, we are looking for full-time, experienced Craftsperson or Production Worker to join our production team.
Responsibilities:
- Be able to work with fiberglass (cutting, drilling, etc) with appropriate PPE
- Be able to work with adhesives (carpet adhesive and fiberglass bond material) with appropriate PPE
- Install and test mechanical systems (electric, gas, water)
- Detailed carpentry & finish work
- Assemble and install doors and hatches
- Operating power tools (table saw, router, hand drills)
- Using mechanic related tools (impact drivers, ratchets, wrenches, rivet guns)
- Operate an overhead crane
- Perform quality control checks
- Follow the part restocking process and communicate material needs to the supply chain team
- Aid in refining manufacturing process and build procedures
- Follow work instructions for various aspects of trailer assembly
- Other production related duties as assigned
Expectations:
- Show up to work everyday, on-time, ready to work; have reliable transportation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Understand and adhere to Escapod’s quality standards
- Perform all work in a safe and efficient manner
- Maintain bay tools to be in good working condition
- Maintain all PPE to be in good working condition
- Handle all bay material with care, ensuring there are no damages
- Work to meet deadlines, production goals, and uphold shop quality standards; work with a sense of urgency
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-3 years experience with production/manufacturing work
- Motivated to learn and invest in a career with us
- Creative problem solver
- Strong work ethic & quality standards; understand what needs to be done and do it right the first time
- Organized with keen attention to detail
- Works well with and respects others
- Able to work independently once fully trained
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
- Forklift experience (preferred)
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Working Environment
This is a full-time, on-site position, working at our manufacturing facility in Coalville, UT (35 miles away from Salt Lake City and Evanston, WY). We are committed to helping build our local community, as well as growing the culture of Escapod.
