Qualifications: Background in jewelry production or hobby jewelry making preferred. Excellent manual dexterity, skilled use of hand tool for assembly needed. Must have ability learn and follow production processes. Must have basic computer skills. Ability to demonstrate professional oral and written communications skills. Job Summary: We are seeking a detail oriented member for our jewelry production team. We help people cherish memories and carry their loved ones with them, so every piece of jewelry we make is unique and holds a special meaning.
Our Jewelry Production Technician is responsible for learning and carrying out our production process, contributing to an organized workflow in the shop, sharing technical expertise with other technicians while fulfilling jewelry and keepsake orders. This position supports the technical shop operations and fosters a positive morale in the jewelry creation environment. Works under the direction of the Owner, with regular exercise of independent judgement as the Jewelry Production Technician.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Production / Schedules / Work Orders
- Maintains high standards of production according to company standards, assuring customer specifications are met on all orders.
- Assists colleagues in answering technical questions, workflow questions, and teaching tasks to keep projects moving forward.
- Conducts special projects at the direction of the Owner.
- Policies / Procedures / Systems
- Participates in the continual improvement of systems, processes, procedures and materials relating to the operations of the company.
- Assists in the production process and resolves processing issues, production problems so to prevent failures.
- Housekeeping
- Supports and assists in conducting preventative maintenance schedules within the shop / storage areas.
- Ensures all work areas are clean and well maintained.
- Inventory
- Requisitions stock materials for general inventory.
- Monitors and tracks stock regularly to prevent backorders.
- Quality Control Systems
- Supports and participates in the quality control of production based upon company standards.
- Supports and assists in the jewelry production operations to include:
- Use of correct materials while limiting waste
- Production operations
- Industrial hygiene
- Maintenance
- Shop and worker safety programs
- Administration / General
- Maintains positive working relationships with all employees, management, clients, and others.
- Ability to work on assigned shifts based upon a work schedule approved by the Owner.
- Performs any and all other functions and responsibilities as directed by the Owner.
