Overview: We are seeking a skilled, Experienced Surgical Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Surgical Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting surgical procedures and ensuring the safety and well-being of patients. Duties: - Assist surgeons and other dental professionals during surgical procedures - Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and ensuring all necessary supplies are available - Set up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile drapes - Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgical procedure - Hand instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures - Monitor patients' vital signs during surgery - Collect and label specimens for laboratory analysis - Assist with patient positioning and ensure their comfort and safety - Clean and restock operating rooms after procedures Experience: To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience and skills: - Knowledge of surgical systems, infection control, and aseptic technique - Strong understanding of human anatomy and medical terminology - Previous experience as a dental assistant is required - Familiarity with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy - Experience with medical documentation, or imaging is a plus Benefits: We offer competitive pay and benefits packages, including medical insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.
