Essential Accountabilities
- Comply with all plant safety and work rules
- Respond to facility requests for immediate attention to all issues.
- Performs maintenance repair work in one or more of the following areas: Production, Plant Facilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance
- Install or repair various facilities infrastructure equipment and support equipment including ductwork,
- Monitor and support sub-contractors in performance of work.
- Assist other maintenance personnel as required
- Plan and execute other skilled mechanical or electrical services as necessary.
- Performs utility and structural repairs as needed, alone or in collaboration with internal/external tradespersons.
Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED or equivalent required
- A minimum of 2 years of work experience in general fabrication, mechanical
- A valid driver's license with a good driving history.
- Computer skills and knowledge including experience with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Resourceful problem solver with proven ability to bring quick resolution to challenging situations.
- Team player with ability to build lasting productive business relationships with hourly associates, management, and peers.
- Ability to effectively communicate information both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees, customers or suppliers.
- Positive and goal oriented, willing to accept the challenge of new assignments and be able to work well with others.
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on teamwork, customer service and safe working practices.
- Compatible with company culture and core values.
Work Environment
Work environment is typically in the plant environment which involves moderate risks or discomforts which may require special safety precautions working around moving machines in production facilities. Protective clothing or gear such as goggles, gloves and shoes may be required.
Physical Demands
Work requires some physical strain such as long periods standing and walking in production facility. Other physical demands include climbing, crouching, and reaching.
