Job Summary
Primary responsibility for the Facilities Staff position is the day-to-day custodial maintenance following nationally recognized standards for institutional buildings. Also, perform minor building repairs and assist GRACE staff with minor tasks when approved by the Facilities Director.
Essential Functions
- Performs continuous routine cleaning per the daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedule checklist using established guidelines with cleaning materials and supplies approved for use in an institutional environment.
- Cleans and polishes VCT flooring weekly.
- Thoroughly cleans all tile floors including restrooms.
- Throughout the day or evening when the building is occupied, regularly check all restrooms for cleanliness and make certain paper supplies are restocked. Clean and refill as necessary.
- Assist in the setup and teardown of furniture and equipment used for special activities throughout the buildings.
- Performs minor maintenance and repairs as directed.
- Assists teachers and/or students, when approved by the Facilities Director, with setup or teardown of scheduled events.
- As the last one to leave the campus, performs the final inspection and notes any morning cleaning or maintenance required; turns off lights and checks all exterior doors.
- Acts as building security contact for occupants using the building after hours.
General

- Shall support the broader program of the school by attending extra-curricular activities as requested.

- Shall perform any other duties which may be assigned by the Head of School.

- Shall recognize the need for good public relations and represent the school in a favorable and professional manner to the constituency and general public, including in the use of social media.
- Shall place the ministry of GRACE Christian School ahead of outside or volunteer work.
- Shall make an effort to appreciate and understand the uniqueness of the community.
- Having accepted Jesus Christ as personal Savior, shall affirm publicly and have a lifestyle consistent with GRACE’s Statement of Faith and the GRACE Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
- Must adhere to work hours that are set to perform the required job function.
- Attends and participates in scheduled campus and/or school meetings as needed.
Qualifications
- The employee shall be one who has received Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
- The employee shall be a member in good standing of an evangelical church and shall lead a separated life.
- The employee shall reflect the purpose of the school, which is to honor Christ in every class and in every activity.
- Other qualifications may be added by the Head of School as deemed appropriate.
