Facilities Technician
Base Salary: $22-$25/Hourly

Position Description:
The Facilities Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to build and maintain the Guardian Centers commercial infrastructure. The Technician is responsible for building props, maintaining venue equipment, and ensuring continuous venue operations throughout the year. The technician will respond to time sensitive requests related to the venue as required. A Facilities Technician must be able to perform basic general repairs throughout the facility as required. The position will report to the Director of Operations.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform basic framing and woodworking to construct internal wall props and scene sets for client support.
2. Repair venue breeching walls using basic masonry skills.
3. Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, buildings, and grounds.
4. Perform a variety of general plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
5. Perform general vehicle maintenance.
6. Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report these and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
7. Provides time sensitive/unscheduled repairs to equipment and buildings.
8. Comply with company safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
9. May sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow, or perform other incidental seasonal tasks
10. Must have the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing in English with management and temporary laborers
11. Will be required to use forklifts, high reach equipment, tractors and landscape equipment with training.
12. Prepares and paints surfaces of various structures and equipment (e.g. walls, floors, roofs, doors, etc.) to preserve wood and metal parts from corrosion and maintain a safe, comfortable working environment using various painting equipment and related tools (e.g. sprayers, pressure washers, rollers, brushes, thinners, etc.)
13. Required to be familiar with and use all hand tools and power tools common to the skills listed, and be well versed in the disciplines mentioned above.
14. Must have the ability to be able to lift and move around up to 100lbs in order to be able to move equipment and training props around the venue.
15. Must have the knowledge to conduct recurring safety and maintenance quality checks on facilities and equipment.
16. Must have the physical ability to work on site during normal business hours and be able to work any shift and overtime hours when required, occasionally with minimal notice.
17. This position will require employees to enter and crawl through structures with limited visibility in order to prepare venue scenes for clients and to perform preventative maintenance.

Qualifications and Additional Skills:
· Able to use Microsoft Office
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
· Working knowledge of industrial blueprints
· Forklift & High reach equipment operation
· Drive tractors and zero-turn landscaping equipment
· Use powered equipment such as generators and other powered hand tools
· Must be able to read and comprehend technical instructions, correspondence, and memos
· Ability to write correspondence, read and understand daily operations procedures, and daily work orders
· Understanding of OSHA and life safety regulations
Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, heights, precarious places, smoke, sparks, fire protection water/mud, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, and moderate to occasionally loud noises.
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a respirator fit test
- Must be a person of integrity with a high level of proficiency
- Must have a valid Georgia Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record
- Must successfully pass a background check to include access to sensitive information.
- Must be willing to complete and successfully pass a drug screen as part of the background check and random screenings
- Must be eligible to receive and hold a security clearance if necessary
- Must be a Citizen of the United States in good standing
- Primary work location is on campus in Perry, Georgia

Guardian Centers’ training complex was designed with our nation’s most demanding missions and tactical professionals in mind. This design includes basic- to advanced-training curricula, as well as the maintenance and repair to ensure readiness of all support assets. Our instructor cadre is skilled at delivering instruction at the apprentice, journeyman, and expert levels.
