JT4 China Lake is seeking a hands-on Facility Maintenance Manager to provide daily electro/mechanical/HVAC maintenance on facility machinery, equipment, and other related hardware systems.
JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepare our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.

RANGE REQUIREMENTS
Seeking a highly capable and experienced Facility Maintenance Manager to support day-to-day maintenance activities, infrastructure readiness, and risk mitigation for the R2524 complex, China Lake, California. This role requires a proactive and hands on leader skilled in managing projects across military-industrial environments, coordinating with blended teams of military, government, and contractor personnel. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on facility oversight experience and interagency collaboration skills.
- Coordinate and oversee preventive maintenance and repair projects across the range's infrastructure and support facilities
- Liaise between military leadership, government civilians, and contractors to ensure seamless execution of logistics and training support
- Maintain inventory and assist with procurement of equipment and materials required for range operations and facility upkeep
- Support preparation for inspections, audits, and facility certifications
- Assist with training of personnel on Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) compliance
- Contribute to readiness and quality-of-life improvements in remote desert working conditions
- 5+ years of hands on mechanical/electrical/HVAC facility maintenance in a federal, military, or industrial context.
- Proven ability to coordinate blended teams (military, civilian, and contractor).
- Familiarity with challenges associated with range maintenance management in a high-desert environment in all weather conditions.
- Strong communication and logistics coordination skills.
- Prior experience with DoD range operations are highly valued.
JOB SUMMARY - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
- Examine mechanical, electrical and HVAC equipment to diagnose the source of trouble or malfunction.
- Dismantle or partly dismantle subsystems and effects repairs primarily using hand tools.
- Replace defective parts with items obtained from existing stock.
- Prepare written specifications for major repairs or for production of parts ordered from a machine shop
- Reassemble machines and make all necessary adjustments for operation.
- Identify, document, and mitigate environmental and occupational hazards.
- Enforce and refine safety protocols tailored to the R2524 Complex.
- Maintain inventory and assist with procurement of equipment and materials required for range operations and facility upkeep.
- Support preparation for inspections, audits, and facility certifications.
- Assist with training of personnel on safe operating procedures, emergency response plans, and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) compliance.
REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATIONAL, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Must possess basic personal computer skills and knowledge of applications software and database usage sufficient to maintain records and files
- Must possess good verbal and written communication skills
- May be required qualify for and maintain a government security clearance
- Must have a valid, state-issued driver’s license
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is required to implement management initiatives and to coordinate upgrades, capabilities, policy and procedures with other organizations. Each employee must read, understand, and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures, and policies pertaining to their job.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position involves work typical of an industrial environment with no unusual hazards. There is occasional lifting to 50 pounds and outdoor duties with exposure to natural weather. A government vehicle is used on an as-needed basis. Grease or oil may be found on working surfaces. The incumbent must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. He/she must be able to work duty days in excess of eight hours and perform shift and weekend work to meet required schedule demands. This position may require travel.
SALARY
The expected salary range for this position is $64,313.60 to $79,599.52 annually.

JT4 LLC considers factors such as (but not limited to) responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.
