The Freedom Rail Group takes pride in remaining safety focused while providing expedited rail services and customer-driven solutions. The Freedom Terminal Services division is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Facility Supervisor at our Dilworth, MN location. This is a permanent, full-time position.
This facility is responsible for cleaning railcars via power washing, sweeping, and shoveling debris from railcars. The Facility Supervisor will supervise and assist subordinates in railcar cleaning duties. Individual is responsible for the coordinating and supervising the work of employees in cleaning duties, and maintenance and upkeep of equipment.
At the current time, this position schedule will Mon thru Fri daylight hours only. Candidate will directly supervise employees and carry out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies. Candidate will oversee operations, safety procedures, and maintenance functions for this site.
Job Skills & Responsibilities:
- Operate in a manner where SAFETY and ENVIRONMENT are the highest of importance.
- Manage the safety performance, operating practices, and financial productivity of the operation.
- Assume a leadership role in supervising crew, schedule, and personnel.
- Climb onto the top and crawl underneath railcars in order to inspect and clean railcars.
- Meet production quotas.
- Operate company vehicle in a safe manner and adhere to company's rules and regulations.
- Candidate must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to squat, kneel, climb, walk, stand.
- Perform other managerial duties as requested or required.
Job Requirements:
- Must maintain regular, dependable attendance and high level of managerial performance.
- Previous leadership experience required; Proven experience preferred.
- Prior Rail experience preferred.
- Demonstrate knowledge of company safety programs and enforce strict safety guidelines.
- Comfort using technology and proficient PC skills, Microsoft Suit, mobile tools, web-based applications.
