Role: Cabling /Optic Fiber Technician
Location: Tallahassee, Florida (5 Days Onsite)
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Structured Cabling Technician to install, service, and maintain low-voltage and fiber optic cabling systems. The role involves travel within a 2-hour radius, hands-on infrastructure work, and collaboration with field teams to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain Category 3/5/5e/6 and fiber optic cable systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot infrastructure issues
- Manage service tickets using ServiceNow
- Work varied hours (Mon-Sat, early mornings/late evenings, occasional Sundays)
- Participate in paid on-call rotation
Requirements:
- 2+ years of structured cabling experience
- Familiarity with BICSI, ANSI, EIA/TIA standards
- Experience with tools like Putty, Wireshark, Microsoft 365
- Valid Driver’s License
- Physically able to lift 50–100 lbs, climb, bend, and kneel

Pay: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour
