Job Summary:
Patch & Repair Final Finish Tech must be safety conscious, dependable, organized, detail oriented, and has experience in repairing, finishing & buffing fiberglass boat parts in a production environment. Willing to work on becoming one of the best fiberglass patch & repair final finish technicians in the industry, developing and improving your skills daily.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Safety First
· Identify defects such as: cracks, blisters, stress fractures & cosmetic flaws in gelcoat surface
· Grind out defective areas, smooth rough edges/areas by using appropriate power of hand tools
· Pre fiberglass, resins and damaged areas for repair
· Shape and smooth edges to match contour properly
· Mix gel coat catalyst and spray or brush repaired surfaces; match colors
· Use hand and power tools, sanders, and grinders to repair fiberglass surface. Buff and polish repaired surfaces
· Spray gelcoat consistently and evenly to desired thickness for gelcoat repairs
· Repair fiberglass using resins and fiberglass materials. Mix catalyst and resin, sanding and finishing boats parts
· Clean and maintain all work tools and work areas as scheduled
· Identify all boats made by shape, size and model
· Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Tendency to display endurance and capacity for a fast pace
· Able to work independently at times and make sound decisions
· Knows limitations and when to ask for help
· Work the hours required for this position. Overtime may be required
· Minimum one year experience with gelcoat and fiberglass repair
· Maintain a positive attitude in a team environment
· Self-starter, organizer and planner
· Maintain high standards of quality
· Use all air and hand tools and measuring equipment
· Understand safety labeling of materials and maintain inventory and waste products in a safe manner
· Work with suppliers and managers to trouble shoot quality and production issues
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
· Able to lift 50+ lbs.
· Work in a non-climate-controlled environment
· Climb/Work on a ladder
· Able to stoop, pull, push, reach, kneel, stand & grasp

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
