Trane Technologies is hiring a Field Excellence Leader. This role provides leadership and operational excellence (Lean) coaching to a team of Regional Field (Operational) Excellence and Functional Field Excellence associates within the Commercial North America business in both the USA and Canada.
The role will report to the Director of Sales & Field Excellence in managing & coaching field excellence associates embedded within Trane regional offices and functions as they drive business growth through process improvement and problem solving in alignment with a unified “One North America Strategy” through the use of lean tools.
Principal Responsibilities
- Under general direction, leads Field Excellence associates in support of Regional/Functional business and process improvement goals
- Coaches towards & develops Lean leadership skills and a culture of continuous improvement within the Field Excellence Team
- Manages lean maturity process and supporting matrices aimed at elevating Lean maturity within the Field Excellence team and Trane Regions
- Act as a peer and strategic coach/partner to Sales Excellence leaders
- Provides ongoing best practice sharing between Field Excellence associates embedded within regions and those within Functions
- Establishes Sales & Field Excellence Mission Control platform
- Develops standard work for Field Excellence team in collaboration with the Director of Sales & Field Excellence
- Develops standard work for Sales Excellence leaders in collaboration with the Director of Sales & Field Excellence
- Leads Field Excellence associates in the commercialization and execution/adoption of growth programs and key initiatives
- Leads RIE/VSA activities while increased depth of talent within the Field Excellence team to do the same
- Partners with North America SMEs & Toolkit owners to increase lean acumen & problem-solving tool utilization in support of Leverage Growth strategies
- Identifies and prioritizes support and coaching opportunities within the business; aligns appropriate Field Excellence resources to meet needs
- Manages defined KPIs established for the Field Excellence team in conjunction with the Director of Sales & Field Excellence
- Collaborates with Sales Enablement team on modernization of Lean tools/templates to meet business needs and drive increased adoption
- Travel 15%-25%
Candidate Profile
- 5+ years of experience of Operational Excellence/Lean Leadership
- 2+ years of experience leading/managing people
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Commercial HVAC business
- Demonstrated experience working with Sales teams
- Ability to influence others and lead groups to achieve goals without direct authority
- Ability to collaborate and thrive in a team environment
- Proven track record of successfully driving adoption of new programs & processes
Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Carless Driving, or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
This role has been designated by the Company as Safety Sensitive.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree or related discipline required.
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $182,400 - $230,000
Total compensation for this role will include an incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
