Overall Function
As a Financial Planning Associate, you will play an integral role on our collaborative Financial Planning Team. While working hand in hand with our Director of Financial Planning and Lead Advisors, you will evaluate a broad range of data and information to prepare financial reports and projections that are key to providing unbiased and objective advice and recommendations to our clients. The ideal candidate will thrive in a supporting role to prepare high quality financial plans and provide service to clients.

Job Description:
The Financial Planning Associate works in a supporting role to prepare financial plans and support the Financial Planning team and Lead Advisors
· Support the Advisor’s presentation to clients with new or updated financial plans based on the client’s unique and changing needs
· Ensure the appropriate financial planning activities are taken before and after each client meeting
· Work with the Financial Planning Manager and/or Lead Advisor to review financial documents provided by clients and discuss planning approach
· Leverage proprietary Planning tools to create and update financial plans for prospects and clients
· Create supporting documents, aligned with the financial plan, as needed
· Follow up with clients to validate data received and clarify objectives.
· Collaborate with other members of the planning team on strategies.
· Document assumptions and calculations.
· Meet deadlines for the lead advisor to review the plan.
· Maintain client confidentiality in line with company’s compliance procedures.
· Special projects as needed to enhance financial planning delivery and consistency.
Qualifications:
· Clean regulatory record with no disclosures.
· Friendly, confident, sincere approach to interpersonal relationships with high emotional intelligence.
· Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
· Highly motivated and disciplined individual
· Accuracy, reasonable speed, and attention to detail for record keeping and working with client data.
· Highest level of ethical responsibility and respect for client privacy
· Desire and willingness to take on additional responsibilities for both personal development and firm growth.

· Bachelor’s degree with a focus on business, finance, or related field
· Life and Health licensed or gained within 3 months of employment
Operations Manager Position Details:
Competitive salary based on skills and experience. Company paid health, dental, vision, life insurance, and holidays. 401(k)/Roth 401(k) with company match. The Financial Planning Associate will work at our primary office located in Leawood, KS.
