This position is designated as a trainee focused on learning the intricacies of sprinkler system installation. Responsibilities may include site clean-up, unloading, staging, and distributing materials to other employees at the job site. The trainee will also be involved in cutting and threading pipe and may assist in the installation and testing of fire sprinkler systems under the close supervision of a Fitter. Daily tasks will be guided and directed by a Fitter. Additionally, the trainee is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized vehicle while ensuring a safe environment for themselves, their co-workers, and customers.
+ Essential Job Functions
- Work with the Fitter to achieve any tasks necessary to complete work on a given job site in a timely, effective manner.
- Learn applicable fire protection codes - able to read and comprehend NFPA 13, 14, 17, 20 and 25, etc.
- Work in a safe manner as outlined by company safety procedures including the driving, personal protective equipment, and lockout/tag-out policies.
- Maintain the company vehicle in accordance with company procedures and ensure it is clean and organized.
- Complete other duties as assigned/support cross-functional teams
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the Fitter and/or the Project Manager.

+ Education and Experience
- Must be 18+ years of age + GED or High School Diploma (or willingness to achieve)
- OSHA 40 preferred (or willingness to achieve)
+ Compensation
- Hourly Range: $16 - 24 per hour based on experience and capability. Following 90 day review, rate increase will be considered.
- Transition from Temporary Employment to Permanent Employment is dependent on performance outcomes being achieved and is not guaranteed.
