Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on, hospitality-driven Floor Manager to join our leadership team. This role requires a confident presence on the floor, ensuring guests receive outstanding service, staff feel supported, and operations run smoothly throughout each shift. The ideal candidate will lead by example, motivate their team, resolve service issues promptly, and cultivate a positive culture rooted in hospitality, consistency, and accountability.
Job Purpose
To oversee the daily service and ensure every shift meets Grato's standards for hospitality, efficiency, and guest satisfaction. The Floor Manager is responsible for guiding the front-of-house team, maintaining smooth operations, addressing guest concerns, and supporting initiatives that drive revenue and team development.
Objectives & Goals
- Ensure smooth FOH operations across all shifts
- Exceed guest expectations through hands-on leadership and team coaching
- Drive sales through upselling, guest engagement, and team incentives
- Support the hiring, training, and evaluation of FOH team members
- Foster strong relationships with guests and develop regular clientele
- Promote accountability, consistency, and pride across the team
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
Job Activities
Customer Service
- Lead by example in delivering gracious, knowledgeable, and timely service
- Handle guest concerns with discretion, empathy, and professionalism
- Monitor the dining room for guest cues and respond before issues arise
- Encourage feedback-driven culture and implement improvement actions
Sales & Promotions
- Execute promotional campaigns and staff incentives with measurable goals
- Coach staff on suggestive selling and pairing techniques
- Monitor pacing and table turns to optimize flow and revenue
People Development
- Participate in hiring and onboarding new team members
- Facilitate daily pre-shift meetings, service recaps, and weekly huddles
- Deliver food and beverage training in coordination with chef and bar teams
- Conduct performance evaluations and coach underperformers with care
- Promote cross-training and career development opportunities
Operational Leadership
- Ensure opening and closing procedures are executed to standard
- Oversee linen, supply, and restroom readiness each shift
- Assist with order taking, table service, and host stand support as needed
- Organize and manage shift transitions, end-of-day logs, and recaps
- Support inventory counts, ordering processes, and waste reduction strategies

- Reinforce standards in real-time, including sidework, service pacing, and guest follow-up

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
