Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and passionate Florist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in floral design and customer service, with the ability to create beautiful arrangements that meet our clients' needs. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment. The Florist will be responsible for managing floral stock, assisting customers, and contributing to our e-commerce initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design and create floral arrangements for various occasions including weddings, funerals, and special events.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients with their selections and offering expert advice on floral care.
- Manage inventory of flowers and supplies, ensuring stock is well-maintained and organized.
- Process transactions accurately through cash handling and point-of-sale systems.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an inviting store atmosphere that showcases our floral designs.
- Participate in e-commerce activities by preparing products for online orders and ensuring timely delivery.
- Assist with landscape maintenance and garden care as needed to enhance the overall aesthetic of our offerings.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in floral design is preferred; retail sales experience is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and online sales strategies is advantageous.
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance, gardening practices, and lawn care is beneficial.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- A creative mindset with attention to detail and an eye for aesthetics.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
