FOH Supervisor- Breakfast & lunch

Job Summary
Word of Mouth is a family owned breakfast and lunch restaurant seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food service industry, with a focus on customer service and operational excellence. This role involves overseeing daily front-of-house operations, ensuring a high-quality dining experience for our guests, and managing staff effectively.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient service and guest satisfaction
• Foster a positive team environment through effective leadership and communication.
• Train and develop team members in customer service, food handling, and operational procedures.
• Manage inventory control and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and oversee the operation of POS system
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the dining area.
• Collaborate with management in scheduling, specials and announcements
• Address guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Participate in interviewing and hiring processes for new staff members.
• Requirements
• Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar supervisory role within the food industry.
• Strong knowledge of food service management principles, including food safety standards and culinary practices.
• Experience with inventory control, cash handling, and budgeting processes.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality management.
• Ability to train, mentor, and motivate staff effectively while promoting teamwork.
• Familiarity with toast POS system preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage shifts efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Must be available to work weekends and start at 7:30am

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
