Summary:
The Foundation Coordinator works collaboratively with the Director of Development to support all fundraising activities and initiatives of the Foundation, including development services, gift officer support, and events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Understand the daily and monthly gift processing standards and provide any Development Services needs as a backup resource for daily operations, particularly during peak times.
Manage matching gift program ensuring accurate confirmations and acknowledgement of donors.
Proactively identify and research new annual leadership and major gift prospects through analysis, screening information, data mining techniques, push technology, demographic searches, etc.
Prepare prospect research profiles on prospects and current donors for use by development team for annual leadership, major gift, and planned giving Foundation portfolio.
Support donor stewardship efforts.
Maintain and update constituent records in the CRM/database (e.g., Raiser's Edge), ensuring accurate donor and prospect information.
Run and distribute regular fundraising reports (e.g., weekly giving reports, campaign dashboards) to keep the team informed of progress.
Support donor pipeline development by flagging lapsed donors, identifying upgrade opportunities, and segmenting lists for targeted outreach.
Work with the Director of Development create prospect tracking reports and actively participate in monthly portfolio review meetings with the team to review progress and identify new prospects for pipeline development.
Assist team in collecting information and reports required for foundation grant opportunities.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification
Bachelor's degree required.
Experience
1-2 years of experience working with fundraising database, preferably Raiser's Edge, NXT.
1-2 years of experience in a development setting within a nonprofit, foundation, or educational institution, with preferred working knowledge of research tools such as DonorSearch or LexisNexis.
Skills / Abilities
Experience working with fundraising management software, preferably Blackbaud RE/NXT
Lead with integrity and mindfulness to maintain donor confidentiality.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Possess critical thinking skills, proficiency in organizing resources and establishing priorities and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to plan and meet both short- and long-term goals.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Power point, and Outlook.

The ability and eagerness to promote a team environment by working in a cooperative and collegial manner with others to accomplish organizational goals and objectives.
